12/05/11 An automobile accident involving two vehicles shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday sent one driver to the hospital According Indiana State Trooper Rodd Schuh, a red Buick driven by Araceli Ortiz of Plymouth pulled out from 4A Rd. into the path of a white Honda  traveling north on Michigan Rd., driven by Dorothy Geiv, also from Plymouth.
Schuh said he believes the 911 call that was received at 3:23 p.m. by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was called in by a passing motorist.
Ortiz was transported to the hospital. Her condition was not immediately known.
A child who appeared to be under school age was a passenger in the back seat of the Geiv vehicle. The child complained briefly of chest pain. Schuh said medical personnel determined that the discomfort was probably from a seat belt during the impact.
Both vehicles were taken from the scene by Lyon Wrecker Service.
