06/02/11 Miller’s Senior Living honored their 2010-2011 volunteers Tuesday evening.  The banquet began at 6:30 p.m. in the Oak Hill Café at the facility.  Dietary staff prepared a meal of homemade beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and strawberry shortcake.

The theme of the evening was “You Are So Sweet To Care.”  With help, residents made special treat bags filled with Hershey Kisses and decorated with a poem about the importance of volunteers.

Following the meal Cindy Flagg, Activities Director told a little about each volunteer and the special things they do for the residents and for the facility.  She also presented each volunteer with a certificate of appreciation.

Volunteers are so important to the life of each resident and to the Activity Department.  Flagg and Marketing Director Anna Corbett expressed their sincere thanks to each volunteer and to the parents of the younger volunteers who are faithful to get the young people to and from the facility.

There is always room for more volunteers at the facility.  Any person who would like to volunteer at Miller’s Senior Living Community should call 936-9801 and ask to speak to Cindy Flagg.
