The Tigers even maintained the lead after a Nic Moore-less first quarter, 10-5. Then the Mr. Basketball candidate started making a difference 30 seconds into the second quarter. He scored on his first shot of the game and his court presence alone sparked the Tigers offense into 19 points in that quarter. By halftime Warsaw had a 29-12 lead with junior Lucas Grose having 10 of those 29 points.
The third quarter was no better for Plymouth who didn’t score a basket in a four minute stretch. Warsaw outscored Plymouth 26-7 in the third quarter.
By the fourth quarter, similar result, more offense by Warsaw….little for Plymouth getting outscored 17-8 in the quarter.
Nic Moore finished with 5 points and didn’t play from early third quarter on, finishing 25 points under his average. However, every Tiger player on the roster scored by games end. Lucas Grose was the eventual leading scorer for Warsaw with 12 pts and 4 rebounds.
Plymouth was lead by Sean Smith’s 7 points on 5 shots taken.
Two games in three days set the tone for next weeks schedule. Both games will be on the road. Culver Academy on Tuesday night. At Knox on Thursday.
