It was reported in the South Bend Tribune today that one of the accomplishments of the current mayor was “savings to residents through contracted trash pick-up.” Apparently, in politics, you can take credit for increasing taxpayers bills by 50% and call it a savings!! Our trash bills went from $10/mo. to $15/mo. Now, if that is a “savings” I am concerned about the fiscal sense of our current administration.
