12/31/11 Marshall County EMA Director Clyde Avery issues a Weather Warning Friday afternoon about 3 p.m. concerning the possibility of heavy snow.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Special Weather Statement” for heavy lake effect snow showers that will develop Sunday afternoon and persist through Monday night. Snow accumulations of 6 inches or more are possible over parts of Northern Indiana. In addition to the heavy lake effect snow, blowing and drifting may make travel in some areas difficult. Additionally, cold air in combination with the windy conditions will cause wind chills to fall into the teens and single digits Sunday afternoon and until Monday night.
