04/26/11 Staff of Miller’s Senior Living Community took part in an Easter egg decorating contest.  Each staff person was given a plastic Easter egg and told to “be creative”.  They could do anything with the egg they chose.  Fifteen of the twenty-five staff members entered the contest.  Each egg was then assigned a number and residents and guests voted for their favorite egg without knowing who had designed each one.  Winners were announced on Good Friday after the “Peter’s Song” concert by Glenn Mitchell.

First place winner was Activity Director Cindy Flagg who made her yellow egg into an Easter bunny with long ears and bucked teeth.  There was a tie going to Christy Graham who used her egg as the center of a mobile and Mary Nichols who crocheted around her egg and turned it into a chicken.  Third place went to Brenda Moreno who used her egg and a wash cloth to design a blue bunny.
