04/29/11 Mayor Mark Senter is keeping a watchful eye on the Yellow River. The river is coming out of it banks in many areas of town but no streets or homes appear to be in immediate danger.  According to the National Weather Service the Yellow River was at 12.01 at 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning and had risen to 12.24 by 2:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Friday morning at 6:45 the river was just over flood stage at 13. 07. 

Anything above 11 feet is considered to be action stage and flood stage begins at 13 feet. The Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Services of the National Weather Services anticipates the river to crest Friday at 13.4 sometime later today.
