The Plymouth freshman football team traveled to Goshen Thursday night and was defeated 20-19.  The young Rockies attempted a two point conversion with no time left in the game for the win and came up one yard short.  Cam Eveland led the Plymouth offense with three touchdowns.  The freshman Rockies finish their season with a record of 7-1.

 

The Lady Pilgrims Volleyball team had a good week.   They finished with two wins extending their winning streak to 11 straight games.   They swept John Glenn 3-0 on Thursday.    Amber Redinger nailed down 12 Kills in the win.  Plymouth got a 3-1 win over Concord on Tuesday.   State ranked Mishawaka Marian will be the first opponent in the first round of the Plymouth Sectionals next Tuesday.

 

Senior Tennis star Gabe Vervynkt will be playing at the Laporte Regionals this Saturday at 11am.  He will face the 22-1 Aaron Zaderej of SB. Riley.   Vervynkt’s appearence will represent a #1-Plymouth Singles player into the Regional round since 1995.

A pair of Seniors from Triton High School, Pete Kaufman and Jeff Ross, will be participating in the first match of the Doubles Regionals at 11am.

 

On Wednesday the Lincoln Red Storm 8th grade volleyball team defeated Indian Springs to win the first round of the conference tourney. Scores for the match were 25-5 and 25-16. Every team member contributed to the win. Leaders for the match were:

Setting: Ashley Harrell and LJ Singleton

Passing: Kennedy Snyder

Hitting: LJ Singleton and Kassie Dickie

Serving: Kennedy Snyder and Cassie McPherron

The team is now 21 and 2 and travel to Warsaw on Saturday to continue the conference tourney.

 

The 7th grade Rockies finished out their season losing 6-0 in the quarterfinals of the conference Tournament to Wawasee.  The Rockies played hard on both sides of the ball but were unable to come up with a score to late in the game to even the contest.  The 7th Grade Rockies finish the year with a combined A and B record of 5-5

The Argos Dragons Soccer team won it’s Regional match against Carroll 4-2.
