12/05/12 The Marshall County Community Foundation is excited about the launch of the 12-12-12 Campaign. Starting at noon on December 12, 2012 or 12-12-12 the Foundation will hold a 12-hour match campaign. Donations of $120 or more made to new or existing permanent funds by midnight will receive a 12% match. The Foundation will host a variety of events throughout the afternoon and evening at the Key Bank Conference Room, 2701 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, featuring non profit organizations across Marshall County. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the Marshall County Community Foundation (MCCF) and the many funds that support so many great causes in Marshall County.
Activities on December 12 begin with a Soup Cook Off and bread donated from Earthworks. Later there will be appetizers, wine and cheese, and desserts. Non-Profit organizations with permanent funds at the Foundation have been invited to answer questions about how their organizations are making a difference in Marshall County communities. Donors wishing to support their favorite cause or charity have many options to choose from with 239 permanent funds already available or they can give to the General Endowment Fund which distributes money into Marshall County communities through grants twice a year. Marshall County Community Foundation just completed the latest grant round and, on October 11, 2012, awarded $68,000 from the General Endowment Fund to fund Not for Profit projects.
“We’re excited about this special opportunity to help people meet their charitable goals and to tell the stories about the really great work that takes place in Marshall County every day to make our communities even stronger,” said MCCF Executive Director, Linda Yoder.
