04/23/12  On Thursday, April 19th at approximately 11:15 p.m. an officer from the Marshall County Police Department made a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on US 31 near the intersection of 9A Road.

The Plymouth Police Department was requested for the use of their K-9 dog Rex.  Rex and his partner Officer John Weir arrived a short time later, and Rex indicated a presence of narcotics in the vehicle.  A search located two active meth labs inside the vehicle.

    The occupants 38 year old Amy Whitehead of Ligonier, 40 year old Kerry Malicki of Elkhart and 23 year old Tommy Peacock of Elkhart were all arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamines.

  Ms. Whitehead was also charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated with a controlled substance and operating a vehicle while endangering another person.

   Mr. Malicki was also charged with false informing.

All three subjects are being held with no bonds pending with the probable cause affidavits that are being filed.

A report has also been forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutors office for formal charges.
