01/16/12 The Tri Kappa chapter of Plymouth is excited to be hosting the Promenade To Prom for the 3rd year on Friday, February 24, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. This event will be held at a new location – prom dresses will be found at the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, 11203 South Michigan Road, Plymouth.

The perfect dress is waiting for you! Any high school girls from the Marshall County high schools are welcome to shop at the upcoming Promenade to Prom for their prom dress. If you don’t have a dress yet, your choice of dress and some accessories will be available at this event. All colors, styles and sizes to choose from, check it out.  Just $10. will secure your dess for the prom. (If you drop off a prom dress at one of the following locations before January 25th, you will receive a voucher that waives the $10 fee).

Please help us- “Pass it on” by returning your dress after prom to your high school and the Promenade to Prom Event will continue as an annual event.

Our long term goal for this event is to provide dresses with no charge to all of the high school girls who need a dress. The $10 charge at this time covers our dry cleaning costs for the donated dresses.

People have asked “how can we help”? We appreciate everyone’s help, here are some ways; 1) We are still in need of dresses – Donate a Prom Dress. 2) Your donation of $10. will sponsor a girl and pay for her dress or will pay the dry cleaning bill for one dress. 3) Gift certificates are appreciated from area retail stores for prom accessories including flowers, jewelry, shoes, salon or dinners.
