The 6th grade Riverside Rockets basketball team played Walkerton at home Thursday night at home. The A team improved their record to 2-0 after defeating Walkerton by a score of 45 to 11. Cam Dennie had 13 points, Larry Dragani 10, Evan Zeigler 6, Chapman Yoder, Cole Filson and Clay Hilliard with 4, and Colin Burkins, Bryce Carmichael, and Shaun Frantz with 2. Donny Hilty and Brayson Leazenby lead the team in rebounds.
The B team defeated Walkerton by a score of 40 to 3 to improve to a record of 2-0. Tim Tremaine and Ezra Winkle had 10 points, Mitch Rose 6, Caleb Gawronski 4, Alex Baca, Luke Walters, and Hamza Yasin each had 2 points.
The 6th grade A and B team plays at home again on Monday against Culver. The A team game tips off at 4:30 and is followed by the B game. Come out and support the Riverside Rockets!
