The 8th grade lost to Rochester 14-25, 14-25. Their record is now 13 and 2 and they travel to Bremen on Thursday.
Last night the Red Storm Cross Country Team took on Bremen in their final home meet of the season. The Red Storm came out very focused and strong as the boys defeated Bremen to remain undefeated at home for the season. The girls lost a very tough meet to a strong Bremen team by only three points, but still finished with a very impressive home record of 3-1. In the boys varsity race, Shane Pursh finished first overall with a blistering time of 11:29. Jordan Morrow and Jeff Olivier also ran great races finishing 4th and 5th overall with times of 12:25 and 12:26. Micah Calhoun, Zach Moser, Daniel Stauffer, and Chris Noodwang sealed the win for the Red Storm finishing 6th through 9th respectively.
For the ladies, Rachel Crawford led the way for the Red Storm once again to take 1st overall with a great time of 12:13. Katelyn Carothers was right on her heels taking home 2nd place overall with a very impressive time of 12:20. Tia Freshour shattered her best time by nearly 30 seconds and took home 5th place overall with an impressive 12:34. Pamela Rosas, Courtney Bradley, Lexi Ramirez, and Kyndel Grove rounded out the top seven for the girls finishing 11th through 14th respectively. Great job Red Storm! Your coaches are all very proud! The Red Storm Cross Country team is back in action again Thursday at 5:00 traveling to Laporte to take on Laporte Boston and Kesling. We hope to see you all there!
