04/11/12 The Marshall County Ag Day Committee is holding an event to promote the value of agriculture to our community today, April 11th in Centennial Park by the Horse Barn. During the day from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm there will be several educational displays pertaining to Marshall County Agriculture for area residents to view.
The Goal of the committee is to inform the public on how Marshall County Agriculture participates in producing our food and to share the importance of this industry to our local economy. Many 3rd grade classes from area schools will be attending during the day.
The committee will have educational displays on dairy cattle, beef cattle, ducks, swine, sheep, goats, draft horses, natural resource conservation, crop production, farm safety, nutrition, electrical safety and the 4-H program. If you have time over your lunch hour or throughout the day, please stop by the park and check out the displays.
