04/09/12 Members of the Marshall County Council will be updated on the various agencies that receive funding from the county’s general fund.

The County Council meets at 9 a.m. Monday morning in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.  The agenda includes the request of Sheriff Tom Chamberlin for personnel replacement.

Agency receiving funding from the County will update Council members on their various services provided in the county.  Agencies include 4-H, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Plymouth, Bremen and Culver, Marshall Starke Development Center, the Bowen Center, Older Adults Services, the Soil & Water Conservation District, and the Humane Society.

There are several requests for additional appropriations including $30,000 for exterior work on buildings, $24,000 from the Clerk’s Records Perpetuation Fund for record preservation, $11,000 from the Clerk’s IV-D Fund for records preservation, and $6,500 from the General Grain Fund for minor drain repairs.

Other agenda items included transfer requests, the Auditor’s Report, and Council items.

The County Council meeting is open to the public, although comments are only permitted at the beginning of the meeting.
