02/13/12  On Saturday, February 11th  at approximately 8:40 P.M. a male subject reportedly entered the Family Dollar Store located 18701 State Road 10 in Culver.   Once inside the store the male subject approached the cashiers and displayed a weapon and bag.  He then demanded money from the cashiers at gunpoint.

As soon as officers from the Culver Police arrived the business and employees were secured and a perimeter was established with the assistance of the Marshall County Police Department, Indiana Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer, as well as Fulton County Sheriff’s Department.   It was discovered the suspect had initially fled on foot and evidence at the scene led investigators to believe the suspect involved left the area in a nearby awaiting vehicle.

The suspect entering the business is described as possibly being a male Hispanic in his early to late 20’s,  5’8” to 5’10” tall,  medium build, dark hair, wearing a dark colored jacket with hat and or hood, and some type of clothing covering the face.

Employees followed the demands and an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the business. No injuries were sustained during the robbery.
