09/18/12 The Niles Haunted House Scream Park is pleased to welcome Aron Houdini, the only living Houdini, to the Park for an exclusive engagement. Houdini will be performing Friday and Saturday nights, September 21 and 22. His shows will include straight jacket escapes and illusion demonstrations. He also will conduct séances.
The public is invited to witness his daring escape while hanging upside down from a great height. The spectacle will be free on the midway and will take place at 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
Houdini holds many records including the Guiness World Record for most regulation straight jacket escapes—30 in an hour—and fastest straight jacket escape—11 seconds. He has received many awards including Entertainer of the Year (3 times), Magic Champion (2 times), Champion of Champions and 1998 Close-up Magic’s Newest Star.
The Park is open from 8:00 to 11:00 pm this Friday and Saturday. Houdini’s séance shows will be at 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on both nights. An illusion show will be held at 10:00 p.m. on Friday and at 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets will be sold at the Park and are not available for pre-sale.
The Scream Park is located on Mayflower Road in Niles, Michigan. The Park easily is accessed by taking Exit 5 (Niles-Buchanan Road) from the US 31 Expressway.
