03/02/12 The following news release on the arrests made by Marshall County Officer Brandon Cooper was released Thursday morning by the Sheriff’s Department.

On Wednesday, February 22nd at approximately 3:30 a.m. an Officer Cooper stopped to check on two suspicious persons in the downtown LaPaz area.  Through the process it was discovered that one of the subjects, 22 year old Jeremy Robinson of Walkerton held a felony and misdemeanor warrant through Marshall County Jail.  He was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

On Thursday, February 23rd Officer Cooper was dispatched to the area of US 30 and Tulip Road for a suspicious person walking in dark clothing about 3:15 a.m.  The officer arrived to find 20 year old Skyler Goble of Hamlet who was intoxicated.  He was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for Public Intoxication and Minor Consumption. His bond was set at $500 cash.

On Saturday, February 25th about 4:45 a.m. Cooper stopped a vehicle on Muckshaw Road just south of Nutmeg Ridge for a traffic violation.  Through the investigation it was determined that the driver, 33 year old Miguel Ruiz-Figueroa of First Street in Plymouth was operating the vehicle without a license.  He was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on a $250 bond.

Officer Cooper also conducted a traffic stop on Pioneer Drive just south of Lincoln Highway for a traffic violation.  It was determined that one of the passengers, 19 year old Amanda Allender was intoxicated.  She was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked in on a $500 cash bond.

Saturday evening at approximately 9:20 Officer Cooper conducted a stop in LaPaz for a speeding violation.  It was determined that the driver, 29 year old Tanesha Payne and one passenger, 23 year old Taneika Payne, both on Indianapolis were in possession of marijuana.  Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail. The females were held on $1,000 cash bonds each.

On Sunday, February 26th Cooper witnessed a vehicle all over the roadway on State Road 17 near State Road 8.  A traffic stop was conducted and it was determined that the driver, 23 year old Chelse Bailey of Tippecanoe was under the influence of a controlled substance.  She was also in possession of marijuana and a Schedule II controlled substance.  She was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for the violations with he bond being set at $1,000 cash.
