09/12/12 The deceased man who was found Saturday, September 8th in his Bass Lake home has been identified.
Starke County Coroner Kris Rannells says 52 year old David Griffin was found inside his residence by his brother, who had gone to check on him after not hearing from him for some time.
Because foul play couldn’t be ruled out a detective and an ISP Crime Scene technician were called to assist along with the Starke County Coroner.
On, Monday a forensic autopsy was performed at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center in Fort Wayne. No cause of death has been determined at this time pending the finalized autopsy report. Rannells said there did not appear to be any signs of foul play regarding Griffin’s death.
