04/19/12 Well-known local entertainer Quentin Flagg traveled the mid-west last week celebrating his 29th birthday.  It has become a tradition for Flagg to take his themed birthday show on the road.  This year he chose a Fiesta theme and played several different venues including Jim and Jack’s on the River in Cincinnati, Ohio on Thursday; The Saber Room in Chicago on Friday; and the Community Building in LaPaz, In. on Saturday and Sunday.

Flagg travels the United States paying tribute to his favorite vocal artists in his one-man song and dance show.  Yet he enjoys bringing entertainers to the area and providing an enjoyable and affordable concert venue for fans of all ages.   And each year on his birthday he brings in friends and fellow entertainers to help him celebrate.  This year he invited Chris Solano of Ann Arbor, Michigan who paid tribute to Buddy Holly and Elvis.  Ed Parzygnat of Chicago, Illinois sang the hits of Johnny Cash and Elvis.  Steve Bobbitt honored Rod Stewart with his looks and vocal stylings.  Bill Downey of Plymouth joined with Flagg as the Indiana Blues Brothers. Of course, Flagg paid homage to the likes of Dean Martin, John Mellencamp, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darrin and many more.

Flagg planned the entire event and included fun for the entire family.  There was a Sombrero Decorating Contest, Guess How Many Jumping Beans in the Jar Contest, a Pin The Tail on the Donkey Game and of course great, fun music.  Homemade birthday cake made by Quentin was served by all the entertainers.  The crowd also enjoyed a conga line dance led by the entertainers.

In lieu of gifts Flagg asked that fans bring non-perishable food items for the Neighborhood Center in Plymouth.  He asked for birthday items such as cake mixes, party napkins and fun things that families may not have a chance to get otherwise.  He was very pleased with the generosity shown by his fans who attended from the area as well as other states.

Flagg’s next appearance in the Plymouth area will be a Luncheon Show on Tuesday, May 15th at Christos’ Banquet Center.  Tickets include lunch and an energetic show by Quentin.  Tickets are $22.00 and may be purchased by calling 1-574-952-2807.
