02/13/12 Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger released further information about the fatal traffic accident on Fir Road near Bremen early Saturday morning.
Twenty five year old Joel F. Stetzel of Bourbon was killed instantly Saturday morning in front of 6649 Fir Road. Stetzel was southbound on Fir Road when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and left the east side of the roadway and rolled over in a field. He was ejected from the vehicle and died instantly. The vehicle caught fire after the crash.
The roadway was snow covered at the time. Marshall County Police Department along with Bremen Fire Department assisted at the scene. No further information is available at this time as the accident remains under investigation.
The Marshall County Coroner’s Office is awaiting results of toxicology which is standard procedure in any fatal accident.
