02/28/12 During Monday evening’s Common Council meeting Mayor Mark Senter took time the thank City Attorney Nelson Chipman for his service to the city.

Senter said, “Thank you for all you have done for the City of Plymouth the last four years and from 1988 to 2000.”  He continued, “You have been a guide, a mentor, a friend and at times a mediator.”  Senter commented that Chipman had encouraged him to make great decisions for the city and discouraged him from making outlandish ones too.

The Mayor said, “Personally, I have learned a lot from you about this job and with your background you have kept the City of Plymouth out of hot water more than once!”    He wished Nelson the best of luck in his new position in the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Mayor Mark then presented Nelson Chipman with a key to the city and announced a reception in the Council Chambers of City Hall from 2 to 4 on Tuesday, February 28th.
