09/24/12 Citizens who were able to take advantage of the County Commissioner’s generosity by getting free top soil from the jail property this spring will have another opportunity.
The Commissioners will offer free top soil on Saturdays in October. The dirt is left over from the Pioneer Drive project. Instead of selling the dirt or the time and expense of stockpiling it they offered it free of charge to individuals for personal use.
There are four Saturdays in October and the county will have an employee there with a backhoe to load your truck or trailer or the dump truck of a company hired by the county resident.
Free top soil will be available Saturday, October 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m.
