03/30/12 Miller’s Senior Living Community and Miller’s Merry Manor is pleased to offer the community and opportunity to celebrate the Easter season with the touching musical – monologue “Peter’s Song”.  Retired minister Glenn Mitchell of Plymouth will appear in concert at both facilities presenting his one-man show.

As Mitchell takes on the persona of Peter, the second disciple to follow Christ; one is transported to the Sea of Galilee where Peter was a mere fisherman.  Throughout his performance Mitchell speaks of what it was like to walk and talk with Christ while he was on earth and watch him perform his first miracles.  He also speaks of Peter’s own shortcomings as he tries to understand more about Christ and his true mission.  Interspersed in the narrative are beautiful hymns and contemporary Christian songs that help tell Peter’s story.

Mitchell will present Peter’s Song at Miller’s Senior Living Community (625 Oakhill Ave.) on Friday, April 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Lobby.  This will be a wonderful way to honor Good Friday.  If you cannot attend on Good Friday you will have another opportunity to see Mitchell’s portrayal at Miller’s Merry Manor (635 Oakhill Ave.) on Sunday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Both events are free and open to the public.  For more information call the Miller’s Assisted Living.
