08/28/12 The City Center in downtown Plymouth and Jim Vinall will host candidate Brendan Mullen who is running for District 2 Congress on the Democrat ticket Tuesday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  The event includes good food and beer tasting with proceeds benefiting Mullen’s campaign.  Tickets range from $25 to $50.  To RSVP call Jennifer at 574-440-5520 or stop by Opie’s Deli.

Mullen was born and raised in South Bend, graduated from John Adams High School and went on to the United States Military Academy at West Point to train for a career of service to our nation as an officer in the United States Army

He served in several overseas deployments serving as a Combat Engineer in South Korea, commanding a platoon of 40 soldiers near the DMZ. He later served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, near Mosul Iraq, mentoring, advising and training Iraqi Security Forces.  By the end of his honorable military career, Mullen had earned numerous awards, badges and decorations.

After serving his country he started and ran a small business that grew under his leadership from one employee to over 110. Mullen later open his own Strategic Planning, Strategic Communication and Information Technology consulting firm that is currently employing Hoosiers and supporting Indiana Guard and Reserve soldiers returning home after their deployments.

Brendan understands the leadership that will keep our country secure and our families safe. As a successful small business owner and entrepreneur, he has the business experience to create new jobs, revitalize Indiana’s economy and help secure the needs of our working class, seniors and youth.
