01/05/12 Marshall County recorded its first weather related death on Tuesday after 81 year old Mary Kehr of Beech Road, Bremen was found unconscious and not breathing by passersby who found her in the snow in front her residence.
The passersby started CPR and notified 9-1-1 dispatchers. Bremen EMS responded to the scene and transported Mrs. Kehr to the Bremen Community Hospital Emergency Room where efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger said that Mrs. Kehr had been shoveling snow in front of her residence prior to being stricken. “Everyone should take care not to over exert themselves in the winter’s cold and snowy weather,” said Cleavenger.
