Just like in WI, where any plants that don't have thorns...or aren't poisonous, are being driven to extinction; there are no young maple trees in our woods. There will not be any for the foreseeable future either as it only takes a few deer a single night to destroy all the new growth. The DNR should liberalize the categorization of these wild cows as a pestilence and allow their control to the point that they will stay out of residential areas. I almost hit one in downtown Plymouth last week...on Jefferson by the DQ... For those who just love to see the wild animals in thier back yards though, they can feel happy that just like in WI the wolves will be coming back in strength and they can go out and pet one soon.
