1/09/12 On Saturday, January 7th at 12:20am, Patrolman Brandon Cooper of the Marshall County Police Department made a traffic stop at the intersection of US 31 and 7B Road for an equipment violation. Through the investigation it was determined that the driver, Lisa A. Haynes 22, of Niles, Michigan was operating the vehicle without ever receiving a license. Haynes was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked in for the charge of operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license, and was given a $250.00 cash bond. Her bond was paid on January 7th at 4:15am. Haynes is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on January 31st at 8:30am.
The Marshall County Police Department is investigating a criminal mischief case in the 7,000 block of 11A Road. Sometime during the overnight hours of Sunday January 8th an unknown person cut and damaged several pieces of fencing at the victim’s residence. No other damage was located on the property.
