07/27/12 Sidewalk Days will be held in downtown Culver this weekend, July 27 and 28th. The downtown area between Jefferson and Madison Streets will be shut down and the participating businesses will display their select merchandise and offer special sales. Also in Culver this weekend is The Annual Fireman’s Festival and The Lions Club Corn Roast. Both are on Saturday July 28th on Lake Shore Drive. The Fireman’s Festival starts in the afternoon and is traditionally at the Culver Fire House across from the park. The event includes lots of games for both the young and old with chances to win lots of prizes. Across the street from the Fireman’s Festival is the Lions Club Annual Corn Roast. The shucking starts at 2:00pm and dinner is served between 4:30 and 7:30 pm. Along with the fresh corn on the cob the dinner includes Hamburgers, chips, and desert.
