04/04/12 Marshall County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, E. Nelson Chipman, Jr. was in Marshall County Superior Court Superior Court I Tuesday morning for the initial hearing of 61 year old Darrel Scheuer.  Scheuer was charged with one count of Neglect of a Dependent a Class C felony and one count of Neglect of a Dependent a Class D felony after Adult Protective Services and the Plymouth Police Department found an adult disabled female on the floor in a home in the 300 block of North Street.  The charges allege the female was laying on the floor for at least thirty days.   An additional charge of Resisting Law Enforcement was also filed against Scheuer at the time of his arrest on March 28.   His initial bond was set at $6,500 cash.

During the initial hearing Tuesday Mr. Scheuer was released on his own recognizance upon the motion of the Prosecutor’s Office.

Mr. Scheuer was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim in the case.

Joseph Simanski was appointed as his public defender. The matter was set for a pre-trial conference for Wednesday, April 18 at 9 am.
