07/10/12 Congressman Joe Donnelly recently announced that his 2nd Annual Job Seeker Workshop that will be held on Tuesday, July 24th in Elkhart, and his 3rd Annual Job Fair which will be held on Friday, August 10th in South Bend.
“I will work non-stop until every Hoosier who wants a job has a job,” said Donnelly. “That’s why my office will host these two annual job events. Also, for Hoosiers considering more training or education, representatives from local educational institutions and retraining programs will be in attendance. I hope that participants in the July workshop will be able to apply new job-finding skills at my job fair in August.”
Congressman Donnelly’s 2nd Annual Job Seeker Workshop is designed to help attendees to improve their resumes and interviewing skills. It will feature four break-out sessions:
- Market Yourself to Stand Out from the Crowd
- The Degree to Employment: Strengthen Your Education Credentials
- Using the Internet and Social Media to Aid Your Search
- Returning Veterans: Adapting Your Military Skills to Get a Job in the Private Sector
The Job Seekers Workshop will be held on Tuesday, July 24th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT at Indiana University-South Bend Elkhart Center, 125 East Franklin Street – 2nd Floor in Elkhart.

Congressman Donnelly’s 3rd Annual Job Fair is designed to connect Hoosiers looking for work with prospective employers and Hoosiers considering higher education with an opportunity to connect with representatives from local educational institutions and retraining programs.
Donnelly’s Job Fair will be held on Friday, August 10th from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EDT at the IUSB Student Activities Center, 1700 Mishawaka Avenue in South Bend.
