08/02/12 Tuesday, Congressman Joe Donnelly released the following statement after voting for H.R. 8, the Jobs Protection and Recession Prevention Act of 2012, which would keep tax rates at their current levels.
“My top priority is improving the economy and getting Hoosiers back to work,” said Donnelly. “I believe we can all agree that the economy is not as strong as we would like it to be. With that in mind, I voted to keep all tax rates at their current levels. Getting our economy back on track should not be a partisan issue. I remain hopeful that both Republicans and Democrats can come together to focus on creating jobs, strengthening the working- and middle-classes, and supporting small businesses.”
