11/09/12 On Saturday, November 10th, Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) will be hosting a free Moms & Babies Health Fair at Riverside Intermediate School in Plymouth. Held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, the fair will focus on providing families with health and wellness information for babies and children up to seven years of age.

At the fair, parents will have the opportunity to ask questions relating to car-seat safety, food and nutrition for children, as well as prenatal care. Experts from Plymouth Family & Internal Medicine and the SJRMC-Plymouth Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Clinic will be onsite to provide height and weight measurements, as well as a children’s obstacle course.

Through the Saint Joseph Physician Network ‘Meet the Doc’ table, Drs. Andy Rimmer and Neha Batra, pediatricians from Marshall County Pediatric Physicians, will available to answer general infant or pediatric wellness related questions.

In addition, several local Marshall County community partners will be onsite to provide guidance and expertise. Representatives from the Lion’s Club will host eye screenings for children under 7 years of age; the WIC will have specialists available to discuss proper breastfeeding techniques; the Dental Center of Plymouth will be available to address pediatric dental related questions; and Preventive Medicine, PC will provide parents with onsite shoulder massages.

The Moms & Babies Health Fair will feature popcorn, games and face-painting activities for children and is free to all families across the region.
