06/08/12 Tonight the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce kicks off the summer’s first Second Friday event.  This year Second Fridays will be geared towards adults with the first event being presented, “Art on the Streets.”  Members of the Heartland Art Galley will be showcasing their various works of art in front of various stores along Michigan Street including Anco Office Products, Yoder’s Sports Center, Edward D. Jones,  Dr. Plumlee’s Office Centier Bank Robertson-Cook and Leading Edge.

Jim Vinall from the City Center will have soft jazz playing for your listening and participants are encouraged to explore downtown with its one-of-a-kind shops.  Look for the 2nd Friday Signs in participating downtown businesses for specials and promotions.

Some of the businesses offering specials during Second Friday include: ASK for Flowers with a sale on Melissa & Doug toys, Harriet’s Closet will have half off long sleeves and 20% off everything else plus sidewalk chalk to make your own artwork in front of the store and just down the street Na Rie Simple Treasurers will have 20% off selected merchandise.  One of the newest shops in downtown, Ely Lane will offer light refreshments and art featuring Laura LaVine Marmolejos.

Treats Squire Shop will have half price on all Nike men and women’s apparel and Kings Jewelry will showcase their magnabilities famous artist’s selections including Van Gogh, Money, Kristen Stein, local photographer Paula Ruwersman and more.

The Frame Shoppe will off 25% off Terry Ridlin prints and L & K Serendipity another new shop will be having specials, refreshments inside and out.  Rock On Boutique will have art displays from Bonnie Rock and homemade Rhubarb punch and Encore Consignment will offer20% off most merchandise and customer appreciation cards, double purchase punches!

The Marshall County Museum will honor Indian Historic Preservation Month with photos on display and Richard Soloman art work and the Brass Rail wants you to enjoy dinner with their Prime Rib & Shrimp special! Yoder’s Sports Center will have a sale on shorts, buy one get another at half price.
