07/12/12 The Plymouth Downtown Revitalization Committee will meet Thursday evening at 5:30 in the conference room of the Plymouth Community School Corporation Administration Building.  The meeting is open to the public and the agenda will include an update on River Park Square by Mike Reese of the Troyer Group.

Reese will be presenting the park design with the goal of consensus building and design approval for as many of the elements and amenities as possible.  Topics to be discussed include the project overview including progress to date, schedule and milestones, property acquisition, budget and city approvals.

  The Plymouth Farmers’ Market will be discussed including stall layout and size, paving materials, tables and chairs, and circulation.  The project includes restrooms so floor plans and elevations will be determined along with materials and fixtures along with surveillance.  The agenda also lists future ice rink implications.

It is hoped that the committee will have time to discuss the interactive fountain, the performance space, the Christmas Tree Plaza, Entry Plaza, and Water Street Streetscape.  Incidentals also on the agenda include benches, bike racks, waste receptacles, lighting and electrical, utilities, and landscaping.

Other topics include fire access and hydrant locations, snow plowing, the Water Street businesses, the future kayak launch, future bridge access to the South Gateway, and future phases of River Park Square.

The Downtown Revitalization meeting is open to the public and those who will be directly affected are encouraged to attend.
