I got to know him in the early 80&#039;s (82 I think) as he came into 
John Glenn High School in the year of the big expansion (For John Glenn) when John Glenn and North Liberty High Schools fused.

Dr. Smith was very capable and got the job done in a very efficient and effective manner (considering that when school started the school was still a construction zone).

Plymouth was lucky to have had him in that regard--as I am sure that his skills over time had increased, rather than diminished.
