8/21/12  For the fifth year, motorcycle riders from several Indiana counties will be riding together to raise funds for the many programs of the Plymouth FOP Lodge 195.  Despite a downpour of rain last year, 63 undaunted riders raised some $6,000-$7,000.

According to ride organizer Jeff Stewart, donations from local merchants and individuals for their auction and the dedication of riders continue to make this a significant event. Stewart said they are proud to put the names of the 28 major donors on the back of the T-shirts. Helping to organize all of the donations is Stewart’s wife and fellow rider, Sherri.

This year’s ride will be on Saturday, August 25 starting at the Eagle’s Lodge in Plymouth. Registration will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Fees for both riders and passengers is $10 and includes a T-shirt and a meal.

The approximately three-hour ride will take the group to Rochester, Bass Lake and then back to Plymouth, ending at the Eagle’s. Stops are scheduled in Rochester at Putts and in Bass Lake at Sportie’s.

Stewart would like all of the riders and the pubic to join them for a meal and auction at the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. The donation at the door will be $10 for those not riding and includes both a T-shirt and the meal.
