This summer the PHS Boys Soccer Team had the opportunity to spend a night volunteering for Operation Quiet Comfort, a national organization that honors and comforts our wounded troops on behalf of a grateful nation.
On Saturday, August 22 the PHS Boys and Girls Soccer Teams both play at home and Operation Quiet Comfort will be on hand for soccer fans to sign a card to send to the troops and/or complete a quilt square which will become part of a gratitude quilt. Donations will also be accepted of zip lock bags (any size); individually sealed toothbrushes, small tubes of toothpaste, travel size cleansing wipes; or ChapStick.
Before the competition the Plymouth Boy Scouts will be presenting the flag and PHS graduate Shelly Ortiz will be singing the National Anthem.
Kick off time at Kindt Soccerplex on Saturday will be at 11am with the JV Boys against LaPorte and the Varsity Girls against Logansport followed by the JV Girls against Logansport and the Varsity Boys against LaPorte.
