05/24/12 Britt Myers and Roger Rettinger of Bourbon entertained at Miller’s Senior Living Community in Plymouth on Tuesday afternoon, May 22.  Myers is a semi-retired minister.  He has preached in four states and also sang with the gospel quartet, The Jubilaires. Rettinger is well-known in the area for his artistic piano playing.

The two men have joined their talents to bring gospel music to older adults living in assisted living and nursing facilities.  Rettinger opened the program with a song titled “Rolling On”.  Myers followed with several favorite hymns on his harmonica.  The men then sang duets and solos including “I’ll Fly Away”, “He Looked Beyond My Faults”, “How Great Thou Art”, “What A Day” and more.

During the program Rettinger surprised his aunt, Vonna Rettinger who resides at Miller’s.  He presented a beautiful arrangement of roses and dedicated the song “You Took My Heart By Surprise” to her.

Anyone wishing to share their talent or present a program at Miller’s should call 936-9801 and ask for Cindy Flagg or Anna Corbett.
