02/01/12 Indiana Senator Randy Head released the following statement concerning Governor Daniels signing into law Monday morning Senate Bill 4 – making it unlawful to arrange for a person to participate in any forced sexual act.
“This is a historic day for Hoosiers,” Head said. “As Governor Daniels signed the human trafficking bill into law, it showed the nation not only that Indiana is a just and compassionate state. It also showed that our legislature can be quick and decisive on important matters like these. I want to thank everyone who helped make this legislation a priority and moved it forward to passage. I hope that it makes a difference, not only this week when the Super Bowl comes to town, but each and every week people try to abuse others through this senseless act.”
