11/30/12 A crash last Tuesday on US 31 near 16th Road injured the driver and caused the owners golden retriever to get lose.
Dave Vitali of Grand Rapids was traveling home from Georgia, when he lost control of the pick-up truck and rolled over landing on its top. As he hung upside down in the truck his trusty companion, Max was at his side until the sirens from the emergency vehicles arrived on the scene and scared him off.
Max was last seen running west of US 31. Max is super-friendly, loves kids, and is probably walking with a limp.
The Marshall County Humane Society is assisting with the search for Max but so far there has been no luck. If you’ve seen this golden retriever please contact the humane society. 936-8300
