03/14/12 Saturday night officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Culver Police Department ended up in a high-speed pursuit after the vehicle failed to stop.

At approximately 10:20 p.m. Saturday police officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Jefferson and Ohio Streets in Culver.  The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit began.

The vehicle continued through the town of Culver and then northbound on State Road 17.  Officers made several attempts to stop the vehicle using stop sticks, however they were unsuccessful.  The pursuit went down State Road 8 and around Union Township for some time, at times traveling at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle then went back southbound on State Road 17 and continued into Fulton County.  Just south of 100 South officers were able to box the vehicle in, and take the driver into custody.

32 year old Domingo Robles of Monterey was booked into the Marshall County Jail for Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Reckless Driving, and Driving While Suspended with a prior charge.  His bond was set at $5,000 cash.

Departments involved in the pursuit included the Culver Police Department, Marshall County Police, Argos P.D., Knox Police, Officers from the Kewanna Police Department, Officers from the Starke County and Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, and Fulton County Police.
