10/31/12 Tropical storm Sandy sent winds gusting as high as 50 mph across parts of Indiana on Tuesday while the state sent utility crews and emergency responders to other states to help deal with its fury.
A huge tree near the intersection of Lake Avenue and 5th Street came down Tuesday morning in the winds. Crews from NIPSCO were on site for a hours retaining the damaged electric lines and poles.
