12/03/12 Dorothy’s Hallmark Store in the Pilgrim Place Shopping Center in Plymouth has joined forces with the students at Washington Discovery Academy to create a unique fundraiser for the local Shop With A Cop program and Riley Hospital for Children.

Kindergarten teachers, Candy Poor, Amy Borkholder and Kendall Hoover had their students create holiday cards and Dorothy’s Hallmark has published and reproduced them in individualizes specialized greeting card.  Friends and family and the general public are invited to stop by and pick a card or cards they like.  Cards will sell for $2 each or 10 cards for $12.

E Learning Coach, Brook Bussie came up with the idea.  She said she has received homemade cards from St. Judes and always enjoyed them and thought they could tie in the true meaning of Christmas and the understanding of giving to others.

Several students were on hand for the unveiling of the cards Saturday.  There is a special display rack just to the right inside the front door.   Please check out the cards at Dorothy’s Hallmark Shop this week, knowing that you are helping Plymouth FOP 195’s Shop With A Cop program and Riley Hospital.
