08/05/11 Although two local residents will be listed on opposite sides of the ballot for Mayor of Plymouth in November, for now they are concentrating on encouraging citizens to exercise their right to vote.
Jim Vinall and Mark Senter will man a joint voter registration table at the Farmer’s Market on the first Saturday of August, September, and October.
Vinall said, “Voting is so important. We felt this was a way for people to have an opportunity to register to vote.” Senter echoed Vinall’s thoughts saying, “Our voter registration project is not a political thing.” No political materials will be allowed at the table, according to both Vinall and Senter.
Senter said they have agreed that both of them would have to be present in order to hold the event.
The event will be from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M.
