07/27/12  Marshall County Sheriff Thomas Chamberlin released the June 2012 top ten offenses for bookings into the County Jail.   The number one reason people were jailed last month was for Operating While Intoxicated. Next on the list was Failure to Appear followed by Theft and then Operator Never Licensed.  The number five reason citizens were booked into the Marshall County Jail in June was for Probation Violation with Public Intoxication sixth and Driving While Suspended seventh.  Rounding out the top ten reasons was Possession of a controlled substance with Disorderly Conduct ninth and Marijuana related offense tenth.

There were 186 jail booking for the month of June with Argos Police arresting 5 males, Bourbon officers arresting 1 female, and Bremen Police making arrests of 8 males and 2 females.  The Culver Police Officers arrested 4 males, last month and the Indiana State Police lodged 9 males and 3 females in the County Jail.  County Police Officers arrested a total of 58 males and 13 females while Plymouth Police arrested 47 males and 25 females.

County Police investigated 45 accidents with nine involved personal injuries, with a fatal accident involving two teenagers, and 34 property damage accidents.

124 case reports were taken, 35 citations were written and 775 civil process papers were received with 656 being served.
