DONALDSON, IN – The Lady Chargers took a loss to conference opponent, Muskegon, and now have a regular season record (7-5) and conference record (0-2).  The Chargers fought Muskegon in five sets L 21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-13, 14-16.

Coach Singleton stated, “Muskegon is a good team and I was proud of the way our girls hung in and battled to the end.  It was nice to see that determination, I just wish it could have gone our way.”

Singleton added, “We did not come through on key points that we needed.  Kristen Trudell (Horton, MI) had 30 assists and 19 digs.  Mieka Wagner (Evansville, IN) had 21 digs for a solid defensive game.  Hayley Mavrick (Greentown, IN) and Kelly Duke (Vicksburg, MI) led the offensive attack with 11 kills apiece.”

Ancilla will play their next match September 13th on the road against conference opponent Lake Michigan College.  The Ancilla Tri-Match will see the Chargers host Indiana Tech JV and Henry Ford Community College at home this coming Saturday, September 15th.
