DONALDSON, IN – Ancilla College women’s basketball team took a loss Saturday 73-64 to Edison Community College.  The Lady Chargers are now 1-5 in regular season play.

Kaylia Richardson (Indianapolis, IN) scored 25 points and had 15 rebounds while shooting 60 percent from the floor.  Coach Beason spoke highly of Richardson’s performance, “Kaylia has been a blessing in disguise so far, and she works really hard and is just so athletic, that it’s hard for other teams to match up with her.”

Taylor Pope (Richmond, IN) had 15 points and 6 rebounds and Hope Wagner (Knox, IN) finished with 12 points.

Beason concluded, “Overall we played a pretty good game and had a great chance to take the lead within the last 3:50 of the game.  We started off really slow, then had to use so much energy in the last 10 minutes of the game to catch back up that we just didn’t have enough left to break the two point differential.”

The Lady Chargers will travel to Chicago where they play Prairie State College on November 29th.
