DONALDSON, IN – The Lady Chargers regular season record is now 9-6 following a loss to Indiana Tech JV L 19-25, 23-25, 25-23, 28-30.  Ancilla rebounded with a nicely with a victory over Henry Ford Community College W 25-18, 25-18, 25-16.

Coach Singleton had this to say following the Indiana Tech game, “Kaylia Richardson (Indianapolis, IN) had 18 kills against Indiana Tech and Mieka Wagner (Evansville, IN) had 13.  Kristen Trudell (Horton, MI) dished out 39 assists and Keri Friend (Rossville, IN) had 21 digs and Kelly Duke (Vicksburg, MI) added 18.  “It was a disappointing loss.  We struggled at times mentally and had far too many missed serves.”

In the match against Henry Ford Ancilla’s Kelly Duke led the defense with 10 digs, Jessica Moore (Walkerton, IN) had 3 block solos and Kaylia Richardson had 2 block solos.  Hayley Mavrick (Greentown, IN) led the attack with 10 kills and Kristen Trudell had 21 assists.  Keri Friend had 5 service aces.

Singleton added, “It was nice to have the girls come back and win after a tough mental loss in the morning.”

The upcoming schedule for the Chargers has a home match set against conference opponent Lansing Community College on Tuesday, September 18th at 6:30p.m.
