The 8th grade Lady Redstorm traveled to Merrillville this past weekend for a tournament and got 2nd place. They won the first game beating Union Township 24-9. It was a balanced scoring attack with Shannon Stephenson with 7, Lexi Mahabeer and Meghan Egierski with 4 a piece, Morgan Oberley with 3 and Kara Morwood, Elise Patrick, and Lexie Simpson contributing a bucket.
The second game the Redstorm faced a tough Merrillville squad. They lost the game 34-52. Shannon Stephenson had 11, Lexi Mahabeer 9, Kara Morwood and Morgan Oberley with 5 a piece, Audrey Pratt with 3 and Elise Patrick contributed a free-throw.
The Redstorm play at home on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Come support them as they take on LaVille and Indian Springs.
